1959
- Graduated HS with my wife, Marilyn and daughter, Debbie in the audience (thanks to Arnold Roman)
- Started lab work the next day at Rizzuto's International Wire AND bench repair at Chadwick & Terhune's
1960
- Lab tech at Heyden Chemical, Garfield (my own lab space assigned to one chemist)
- 11 months in the lab, poisoned twice, quit and went to work as a carpenter
1961
- TWINS, Alan and Andrew!
- Built my own house in Newfoundland, NJ
- Joined the NJ Forest Fire Service
1961-65
- Built a lot of houses
- One more son, Michael
- Started cutting trees
- Hair and beard got longer, and longer, and...
1965
- Divorced
- Started land clearing business
1965-70
- Cut lots of trees (from land clearing to full-time logging)
- Partied (a lot!)
- Hair and beard got longer
1969
- Remarried for 11 months (too much party for anything stable like marriage)
1970
- Started Copperas Mountain Chain Saw Company, Butler (it's still in business)
1970-80
- Sold lots of chainsaws and other logging equipment
- Cut even more trees (total over my career as a "contract faller" estimated around 100,000 trees)
1981
- Sold the business and quit logging
- Got on my bicycle
1981-83
- Took a long bicycle trip (13,600 miles...it was either that or a Miata)
1983
- Got married again and settled in Columbus, Georgia (her home town - many of you met Pam at that odd-numbered reunion a couple of years ago)
- Started the Workworks, a "one-off" custom architectural millwork company (windows, doors, furniture, etc)
1988
- Got sick - Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (still have "it")
1991
- Divorced...again
- Auctioned off my business and retired
- Returned to NJ
1991
- Started a nonprofit called the Garden State EnviroNet providing news, info and internet connectivity to the Enviro community
1997
- Heart attack (you almost lost me there)
1999
- Bypass surgery (you almost lost me there again)
2002
- "Stricken" (sounds impressive) with Guillain-Barre, total paralysis (you almost lost me there again again)
2003
- Rehab at Kessler Institute...great kitchen!
- Retired again and left the Garden State EnviroNet (had over 82,000 clients)
- Packed up my flute for the last time
2004-present
- Member of local historical society - digital restoration of old documents, maps and photographs; more computer and internet stuff
- Four kids, 10 grandchilden, and enjoying my life like never before!
